Maldives Educational and Cultural Centre (MECC) and Spectrum College signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today.
The MoU was signed at a ceremony held today afternoon at MECC. His Excellency Mohamed Hussain Shareef, Ambassador of Maldives to Sri Lanka signed on behalf of Maldives Educational and Cultural Centre and Chairman Dr. Muhammad Sharfraz Azad signed on behalf of Spectrum College.
The main purpose of the MoU is to promote and facilitate affordable education to Maldivians living in Sri Lanka. Under this MoU, Maldivian students joining Spectrum College through MECC is entitled to a discount of 50% – 75% on admission fees and Spectrum College will also award a full scholarship to a Maldivian student with special needs.
In addition to this, Spectrum College is the only school in Sri Lanka offering Dhivehi language as part of school curriculum. This MoU also aims to support and facilitate Dhivehi language classes conducted at Spectrum College.
Spectrum College is an International School in Colombo, Sri Lanka following the British System and both Pearson Edexcel and Cambridge University CIE examinations approved international center. The school enroll students from Nursery to Advanced Level.
