The Non- Resident Ambassador of Republic of Maldives to Republic of Kazakhstan, His Excellency Omar Abdul Razzak presented his Letter of Credence to the President of Republic of Kazakhstan His Excellency Mr. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at a ceremony held this afternoon at the Palace of President,” Akorda’.
During the brief courtesy call following the Credential Ceremony, Ambassador Omar expressed his gratitude for being given the honour to present his Letter of Credence and serve as the Non-Resident Ambassador of Maldives to Kazakhstan. Ambassador Omar also conveyed greetings from His Excellency President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the people of Maldives to the President and People of Kazakhstan. Ambassador Omar further expressed commitment to work closely with Kazakhstan Government with a renewed focus in enhancing bilateral relationship, also focusing in the areas of promoting tourism, trade and Education. The President of Kazakhstan congratulated Ambassador Omar on assumption of his duties as Non-Resident Ambassador of Maldives to Kazakhstan and expressed hope to work closely with the Maldives in further strengthening the bilateral relations and increase people to people to contact between the two countries.
After the Credential Ceremony, Ambassador Omar gave a press statement to the Kazakh media in which Ambassador Omar expressed his gratitude for being given the honour to present his Letter of Credence and serve as the Non-Resident Ambassador of Maldives to Kazakhstan. Ambassador Omar further stated that this year Maldives and Kazakhstan will be celebrating 21 years of establishing Diplomatic relations and both countries have always enjoyed a relationship which is based on mutual trust, respect and recognition and expressed hope to deepening bilateral relations between the two countries during Ambassador Omar’s tenure. Ambassador Omar also noted that Kazakhstan today remains at the top 5 markets on the tourist arrivals to the Maldives this year and expressed hope to carry out further activities to promote Maldives tourism in Kazakhstan and also promote Kazakhstan as a tourist destination to the Maldivian people. Concluding the media address Ambassador Omar wished every success, peace, prosperity and good health and happiness to the people of Kazakhstan and expressed hope for the relationship between the Maldives and Kazakhstan to prosper to new heights in the coming years.
