High Commissioner Omar met with passengers of the repatriation flight

His Excellency Omar Abdul Razzak, High Commissioner Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary visited Bandaranaike International Airport and met with passengers of the repatriation flight carrying 263 passengers from Colombo today by flight UL 101.

The Sri Lankan flight  departed from Bandaranaike International Airport at 0730 hrs on Wednesday. This is the third repatriation flight from Colombo at a time where Sri Lanka was locked down as a precautionary measure in response to the global pandemic of COVID-19 virus.

This repatriation flight was made possible with the assistance of Sri Lankan Authorities and Ministry  of Foreign Relations of Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives.

Deputy High Commissioner Aslam Mohamed Shakir and Defence Adviser LTC Ismail Naseer accompanied High Commissioner Omar to the airport.
