H.E. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih attended the inaugural session of the Four Nations Football Tournament for the 'Mahinda Rajapaksa Trophy 2021,' which took place in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

President Solih was the ceremony's Chief Guest for the inaugural session held today. H.E. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has attended the official luncheon hosted in his honour by the Prime Minister of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, H.E. Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Prior to the luncheon, President Solih took time to converse with the Prime Minister on topics of mutual interest.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed arrived on an official two-day trip to Sri Lanka today.

The President and First Lady’s visit to Sri Lanka is to officiate the opening ceremony of “Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa Trophy 2021” football tournament. The Maldives and Sri Lanka will play against each other at the opening match of the tournament participated by national football teams from the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Seychelles.
