High Commissioner Omar Abdul Razzak met with His Excellency Mageb Mosleh, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Maldives.
During the meeting held, both the envoys discussed on the existing bilateral relations and to further strengthen ties in the areas of education, trade and investment, culture, tourism, health, fisheries, agriculture, transport, energy and Information Technology.

High Commissioner Omar participated at the Press Conference held to initiate air links between Colombo International Airport, Ratmalana (CIAR) and Velana International Airport in Maldives.

H.E. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih attended the inaugural session of the Four Nations Football Tournament for the 'Mahinda Rajapaksa Trophy 2021,' which took place in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
President Solih was the ceremony's Chief Guest for the inaugural session held today. H.E. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has attended the official luncheon hosted in his honour by the Prime Minister of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, H.E. Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Prior to the luncheon, President Solih took time to converse with the Prime Minister on topics of mutual interest.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed arrived on an official two-day trip to Sri Lanka today.
The President and First Lady’s visit to Sri Lanka is to officiate the opening ceremony of “Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa Trophy 2021” football tournament. The Maldives and Sri Lanka will play against each other at the opening match of the tournament participated by national football teams from the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Seychelles.
