Ambassador-Designate of Maldives, His Excellency Mohamed Hussain Shareef has met with the Ambassador of Vietnam to the Maldives, Her Excellency Phan Kieu Thu, today.
At the meeting held in the Embassy of Maldives in Sri Lanka, this morning, Ambassador Phan Kieu Thu congratulated Ambassador-Designate Mohamed Hussain Shareef on his appointment and exchanged views on further strengthening engagement between both countries in areas of mutual interest.
Furthermore, Ambassador-Designate Mohamed Hussain Shareef briefed Ambassador Phan on Maldives’ candidature of the UN Security Council as a non-permanent member, for the term 2019-2020.
Ambassador-Designate His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Hussain Shareef was accompanied by First Secretary Ms. Umaira Mohamed and Second Secretary Mr. Ali Nasih.
